How to order Longship.

Longship is solicited this month in Previews UK for release in August, priced at £7.99. It’s 56 pages, full colour and quite a handsome package. Naturally, I’d like as many people as possible to go out and buy it once it’s available.

The question for most people, then, is where to buy it. Those familiar with the vaguaries of comic shops know that it not quite as simple as wandering into a comic shop and pulling a copy off of the shelf, even though that would be the ideal situation. Sadly, a large number of comic shops don’t carry anything by small publishers as standard. How to get a copy then?

First, find your local comic shop. If you’re not sure where that is, something like comicshoplocator.com will be incredibly useful. Visit said comic shop and enquire as to whether they will be stocking Longship. Chances are, the answer will be ‘no’, if they’ve even heard of it.

That’s where part two comes in. Take the Diamond order code (9780956182289) with you, and ask them to order a copy for you. It’s that simple. The shop should be willing to order it in for you, as its easy money for them, and, if enough people show interest in it, they may even order a few extra copies for the shelf.

There may well be online ordering options as well, but this is probably the best way of ordering Longship at the moment. If any online deals crop up, they’ll get mentioned on the Facebook page. We want as many people as possible to be able to buy Longship after all.

EDIT: Typically, not long after I posted this I found Longship up for pre-order at http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/longship?. So that would be a good option too.
