Longship, which I may have mentioned once or twice, is being launched this weekend at the Birmingham ICE. Copies will be available for sale from the Time Bomb Comics table, and both Rebecca and I will be about to sign copies, should you so wish. We’ll even make polite conversation with you.
Longship itself will be available in two formats. There’s the standard paperback, and the fancy hardcover-signed-and-numbered edition, which also comes with a free print. Both are, naturally, incredibly splendid and a fine addition to bookcases and coffee tables everywhere.
There’s also a sister event occurring at the same time called Comics Uncovered, where we’ll be doing a full panel launch of the book at 15.00. We’ll talk about the book, how it came about, the experience working on it and anything else that takes our fancy. It’s a ticketed event that will cost £5 on the door, and will be highly entertaining. I can’t guarantee the presence of actual Vikings, though.
For those of you who can’t make it, copies will be available after the show, and people who have pre-ordered a copy should start to receive them in the not too distant future.
I’ll be out and about in Birmingham after the convention, so feel free to say hello if you see me. I suspect the Brewdog bar will be a likely destination.
